Strong board of directors for Denmark’s new robot and drone cluster

The board of directors for Denmark’s new robot and drone cluster was formed yesterday, gathering some of the industry’s leading figures. Henrik Anker, CEO, Gibotech, was appointed as chairman and Casper Hansen, CEO, Technicon, was appointed as vice-chairman.

“Denmark’s robot and drone cluster now has a strong board of directors with representatives from across the country, from all areas of the industry and from the research and development community. We have high ambitions for the cluster, and I look forward to building on Denmark’s stronghold and realising the potential for growth and innovation amongst companies across the country,” says Chairman Henrik Anker, CEO, Gibotech.

With representatives from the business community, knowledge institutions, research and technology organisations, municipalities and investors, the board of directors for the national robot and drone cluster Odense Robotics comprises a strong team covering the entire ecosystem. Together, the board will now set the direction for the cluster’s activities.

“I look forward to building on the strong foundation we have in Denmark’s robot and drone sector today. In collaboration with companies and knowledge partners, the new national cluster will accelerate growth and innovation in the industry. Together, we will create even more opportunities for Danish robot, automation and drone companies across the country to develop new technologies and increase their competitiveness,” says Vice-Chairman Casper Hansen, CEO, Technicon.

The board was appointed at the constituent board meeting yesterday following the cluster’s inaugural general meeting on the same day. Company representatives are appointed for the coming two years while representatives from knowledge institutions and municipalities are appointed for the coming four years.
