EDOcobot
EDOcobot aims to improve robotics skills and promote the use of collaborative robots in small and medium-sized manufacturing and logistics companies, thereby increasing productivity and enhancing the digital level.
EDOcobot programme
EDOcobot is an EU programnme aimed at improving robot skills and promoting the use of collaborative robots in small and medium-sized manufacturing and logistics companies, thereby achieving increased productivity and enhanced digital levels.
We achieve this by offering small and medium-sized manufacturing and logistics companies the opportunity to apply for participation in the programme, where we together with you assess your company's digital maturity level and your specific needs regarding the potential implementation of collaborative robots in production and then assisting you in various ways.
The Danish effort is a collaboration between Business Hub Fyn, Danish Technological Institute, South Denmark European Office, Enterprise Europe Network Danmark, and Odense Robotics.

EDOcobot
The EU programme EDOcobot aims to improve robot skills and promote the use of collaborative robots in small and medium-sized manufacturing and logistics companies, thereby increasing productivity and enhancing the digital level.
Purpose
EDOcobot aims to improve robot skills and promote the use of collaborative robots in small and medium-sized manufacturing and logistics companies, thereby increasing productivity and enhancing the digital level.
We achieve this by offering small and medium-sized manufacturing and logistics companies the opportunity to apply for participation in the programme, where we together with you assess your company's digital maturity level and your specific needs regarding the potential implementation of collaborative robots in production.
Depending on the requirements, we assist you in various ways, such as providing access to test facilities at Danish Technological Institute, where possible solutions for your production line are tested, giving you access to relevant networks or finding relevant collaboration partner, or guiding you towards financing options for your investment in collaborative robots.
Who can participate?
The EDOcobot programme is for small to medium-sized companies who want to streamline their production with collaborative robots. With collaborative robots, your production line becomes much more efficient and can produce at a higher quality level with less waste.
Why take part in the programme?
In an EDOcobot programme, we start by assessing your company's digital maturity level (Digital Maturity Assessment) and your specific needs regarding the potential implementation of collaborative robots in your production.
If you come on board, we will guide you towards various options, such as:
- Network and Innovation: Access to relevant networking and innovation programmes, based on your company's digital maturity level.
- Test Before Invest: Testing possible solutions for your production line in our test facilities at Danish Technological Institute.
- Funding: Providing guidance and insights into both domestic and international funding opportunities for your investment in collaborative robots.
How to join
Click on the "Apply" button at the top of the page and fill out the form, where you can also read about the six conditions that need to be met for your company to be considered.
Once you have submitted the form, you will be contacted by a project consultant from Business Hub Fyn (Erhvervshus Fyn), who will work with you to assess your company's digital maturity level.
Based on that assessment, we will determine whether your company can be part of EDOcobot and in which direction we can assist you.
Digital Maturity Assesment
As a first step before participating in an EDOcobot programme, one of our consultants, in collaboration with you, assesses your company's current level of digital maturity and your needs.
Your company's digital maturity level
To participate in an EDOcobot program, you need to engage in a dialogue about your company's digital maturity level with one of our consultants. During the dialogue, the consultant will inquire about various areas within your company, such as:
- Digitalisation strategy
- Digital readiness
- Human-centered digitalisation
- Data management
- Automation and artificial intelligence
- Green digitalisation
The dialogue results in an assessment of your company's digital maturity level (Digital Maturity Assessment), which forms the basis for the further EDOcobot programme.
In some cases, after assessing your company's digital maturity, it may not be possible to participate in EDOcobot. This could be because we determine that your company is not yet digitally mature enough to participate or because it is overqualified.
Regardless of the outcome, we strive to guide you and your company based on your specific needs and digital level.
Network and Innovation
Do you need to discover new solutions or learn from others who have implemented collaborative robots?
Network, innovation, and inspiration
In an EDOcobot programme, we help you explore new possibilities for the use of automation and robot technology.
Your company will also have the opportunity to be matched with new collaboration partners and meet new networks that can be a source of discovering new solutions and gaining knowledge from others who have implemented automation in their production.
We do this in three ways:
- Innovation boards
- Innovation sprints
- Networking and collaboration.
More about each option:
- Innovation boards
Odense Robotics helps you see the possibilities of automation with robots. This is done by showcasing both simple solutions and solutions that are "Beyond State of the Art."
In an innovation board, you will be invited to an event with relevant technology suppliers to explore possibilities and solutions within your specific industry. There will be live technology demonstrations from the technology suppliers, where they share their product recommendations for your specific challenges and innovation needs.
You will gain insights into new and upcoming technologies tailored to your application, while also having the opportunity to discuss your challenges and learn how to make the most of the technologies.
Key facts about innovation boards:
- • 4-5 events
- • 30-50 participants per meeting
- • Meetings last 4 and 6 hours.
Price: Free of charge
- Innovation sprints
Here, Odense Robotics helps you find new solutions to your industrial challenges through events where local technology developers are invited to present their technology solutions for the challenge.
This takes place over multi-day events with live presentations from technology suppliers who provide their proposals for technology solutions to your specific industrial challenges. It is also possible to be involved in the selection of the four to eight relevant technology suppliers who will present their solution proposals for your challenge, such as a development plan, mockup, or simulation.
Key facts about innovation sprints:
- • 1 event
- • 4-8 technology suppliers
- • 1 or more days.
Price: Free of charge.
- Networking and collaboration
Here, Odense Robotics, in collaboration with the South Denmark EU Office (SDEO), helps you gain new knowledge, assistance, and inspiration from professional networks and companies at the European level.
You will be invited to networks with participants from the EDOcobot programme, as well as other companies and organisations nationally and internationally, focusing on robotics and automation solutions within supply chain.
The purpose of the network is to facilitate knowledge sharing among current and past project participants.
Price: Free of charge.
