Mads Stubgaard-Schmidt has joined the Odense Robotics team as the new Project Manager, who will assist companies in accelerating their innovation and tech development through projects such as DigitaliseringsBoost. Mads has a strong background in innovation and development projects from his time at Innovation Fund Denmark and their Innobooster team, where Mads also helped establish Innovation Fund Denmark’s regional focus in Southern Denmark.
How will you make a difference for robotics and drone companies?
I hope to help Odense Robotics members convert their technology into businesses that can provide their customers with value. I am always focused on customer needs and my role as the project manager of tech development will be to guide robotics, automation and drone companies towards the best conditions and partnerships for them to develop innovative technologies and concepts.
I love working with engineers, but I also want to bridge the gap between research and development, startups and larger corporations and ensure that startups and development projects know of the many investor opportunities from an early stage. I have gained comprehensive insights into existing funding opportunities over the last fifteen years, not just for startups, but for established businesses as well, and I will use these insights to help support our members in developing more innovative robotics and drone solutions.
What are you most looking forward to?
I am looking forward to meeting the industry’s many fascinating companies and gaining new knowledge and deeper insights into the technologies that are being developed and how more partnerships can be fostered.
I am also excited to help the cluster grow and reach all of Denmark, as I believe a strong cluster can create great impact on an international level.
What experience can you draw on to make a difference for the Danish robotics and drone industry?
The first five years of my career were spent working with innovation and business development in three large corporations, before setting out to guide other companies on development projects and early-stage investment. Through this I have ten years of experience with helping companies explore new ways of collaborating and sharing knowledge through development projects. I am looking forward to applying this experience to Odense Robotics members and helping them elevate their innovation.
I have assisted startups and SMEs in obtaining soft funding at early stages of their development, which gave them the chance to try their hand at something new and innovative. Over the course of my career, I have reviewed almost 1000 development projects and I hope to apply these insights to helping the Danish robotics and drone industry grow and exploring new innovative ways to collaborate.
