This exciting event is supported by Odense Robotics. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to explore the future of human-assistive automation!
On 19 November, the NeuroRobotics Technology Laboratory (NRT-LAB) at the Technical University of Denmark will host its highly anticipated annual event. This year’s theme, “Advancing AI for Human-Assisted Automation and Healthcare,” focuses on transforming cutting-edge research into practical solutions that enhance safety, efficiency, and quality of life.
NRT-LAB’s mission is to discover new methods of perception-action control inspired by the brain and body and apply these bio-inspired computational models to tackle real-world challenges. Current projects span multiple sectors and focus on human-assistive tasks, including:
Attendees will glimpse the future of heterogeneous artificial systems, from modular soft robots to digital twins, all designed to interact seamlessly with their environments and humans. These innovations are powered by next-generation AI, such as spiking neural networks and neuromorphic computing, offering superior learning, adaptability, and autonomy with reduced energy consumption.
The event will kick off with Associate Professor Silvia Tolu presenting the lab’s research vision, highlighting the key milestones achieved over the past year and charting the lab’s future trajectory in human-assistive automation. Public and private sector leaders will also share how their collaborative projects with NRT-LAB turn these cutting-edge technologies into real-world solutions.
The NRT development team will showcase demonstrations of the lab’s latest achievements, giving attendees a firsthand look at the capabilities of tomorrow’s autonomous systems and how they are set to reshape human environments.
