The event is open to all paying members of Odense Robotics

The next Drones and Unmanned Systems Network meeting on November 30 will focus on the threat posed by foreign intelligence agencies against Denmark.

The virtual meeting will feature a presentation by the Danish Security and Intelligence Service.

“The threat posed by foreign intelligence agencies against Denmark has increased significantly and has become ever more complex. First and foremost, foreign states execute intelligence operations in order to strengthen their own military, political and economic agenda – and Denmark has in many ways become an appealing target for such operations. More specifically, Denmark has a world leading position on research and development of highly advanced technologies, which can be targeted by foreign states in order to adapt these technologies for themselves – both for civilian and military use – so called ‘dual-use’.

Have you ever asked yourself the question: ‘How interesting can I possibly be?”. You do not necessarily need to be overly interesting as a person yourself. But your access can be. Physical access as well as informational. The knowledge that you possess or are able to attain, as an employee of a company, can be interesting knowledge in the hands of foreign states.  Both in the short and in the long run.

During this presentation, The Danish Security and Intelligence Service will focus on the threat of espionage against Denmark and Danish interests in general – including what that means for Danish companies. They will attempt to shed light on who specifically poses a threat to Denmark and what these actors especially are interested in. Finally, The Danish Security and Intelligence Service will highlight some of the methods used by foreign actors in order to gather information.”

The webinar is a prelude to a future masterclass next year on Cyber security with physical attendance.
