Call for Demonstrations at the International Drone Show 2022
We are currently looking for companies and researchers to perform demo flights at the International Drone Show 2022
On 30 of August, 2022 UAS Denmark Test Center and Odense Robotics will host the International Drone Show at HCA Airport in Odense, Denmark – more info about the show here >>
Call for Live Demonstrations
We call for cases where a drone application, product or service ensures new value to a sector or segment – making work, data or the bottom-line better for example within: Security, search and rescue, inspection etc. and we call for flights that demonstrate new or improved drone platforms.
We would like to hear from you – if you can deliver flights within the conference themes and with:
- Applications for drones with strong end-user-cases
- New or improved drone platforms
- Other technologies related to the UAS ecosystem, e.g. surveillance, UTM etc.

If you are interested in displaying, speaking or demonstrating your UAS related products / services or performing a flight related to the themes of the conference on 30 August – please fill out this form>> and pay for your attendance here>>
Deadline for flights that require paperwork
Contact Michael Larsen at lmla@hca-airport.dk before 1 August – if your demonstration demands further paperwork (large platforms, BVLOS etc.) then apply as soon as possible.
Guidelines
In your request for a live demo (fill out online Here) please describe the following:
- Which Application do you want to demonstrate?
- Who is the targeted end-user or segment?
- Which UAS platform are you interested in flying?
- Does your UAS have a maximum Take Off Mass above 25 kg?
- Are you interested in doing a VLOS or BVLOS demonstration?
- Does your platform or operation otherwise fall outside the Open Category?
Flight Demo-Guidelines:
The UAS Test Center can facilitate VLOS test flights in our restricted airspace, however all demo flights with an UAV above 25 kilograms must be authorized by the Danish Transport Authority (DTA) in due time for processing. Also BVLOS demo flights must be authorized. Expected processing time at DTA for BVLOS flights: 7-8 weeks – and for VLOS flights with an UAV above 25 kg: 4-5 weeks. As stated not all flights need a SORA – flights can be performed as follows:
- VLOS flights with UAV below 25 kg can be performed without authorization
- VLOS flights with UAV above 25 kg can be performed – requires authorization from DTA
- BVLOS flights can be performed in accordance with a SORA risk assessment, authorized by DTA
All flights must be performed with Radio frequency equipment compliant with Danish Energy Agency regulation.
What is the process?
First step is to gather initial interest from the industry. Next step will be an evaluation of all the request for demos and support needed. For the flights next step will be a further approval-dialogue with the Danish Transport Authority (DTA), supported by us.
What to expect
The day will be packed with live demonstrations, exhibition, networking and presentations from the drone industry within the following three themes:
- Theme 1: Unlocking the potential – New applications for tomorrow
- Theme 2: Drones and transportation (taxa, delivery and logistics etc.)
- Theme 3: Industry related drones (energy, agriculture, maritime etc.)
- Theme 4: Security, AI & counter drone systems
When the International Drone Show official program closes at 4 o’clock, UAS Denmark and Odense Robotics have arranged for a networking session over a meal and beverages at an additional cost of 549,- DKK excl. vat. If you want to join this exclusive networking session, please add this to your ‘cart’ when signing up.
